AI in HR: Risks + Opportunities
AI in HR is exciting, daunting, and confusing all at the same time.
Researchers from OpenAI, OpenResearch, and the University of Pennsylvania this year announced that AI similar to GPT will affect 80% of U.S. jobs by at least 10%. But what does that mean for AI in HR today?
When we asked HR and business leaders recently how much their company is focused on AI, only 16% ranked AI as an organizational priority. However, close to two-thirds said they think AI will bring more positive effects than negative.
In “AI in HR: Risks + Opportunities,” expert panelists take us through how HR leaders can prepare to get the most from AI while mitigating risk.
Some of the valuable insights you’ll hear:
Focus on helping leaders and managers become more effective in facilitating conversations around AI: both showing optimism and being open about vulnerabilities. Leadership coaching is crucial.
AI allows you to personalize almost any part of the employee experience to enhance your value proposition.
A study this year by the University of Pennsylvania and OpenAI found that 80 percent of U.S. jobs are likely to be altered by AI similar to GPT.
Strengthen your organization’s ability to harness the power of transformation by establishing principles to guide you. For example, AI will not make decisions (it will inform decisions) and our expectation for leaders is not to know everything, but to learn everything.
Build AI Councils with cross-functional representation, whose primary charge is to learn (not produce), to help demystify AI and reduce fear.
25 states have introduced legislation related to AI in the workplace in 2023, alone.
This is a session you’ll keep coming back to.
